Dear Kathy,
With Jim and my deepest sympathy with Steve’s passing. I could not believe my eyes when I got email from Claudia Oates. I printed out the message and took it to Boardman Tennis Club last night so others that knew Steve would know. He always took care of himself and it is such a sorrow to die while he still had so much to offer.
We always liked Steve and respected his competitive spirit and his abilities. We have many fond memories of Steve and you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.He will be missed by all who knew him. Hal Christman does not have to worry about playing Steve in any more tournaments.
